On the front of the Levoit LV600S, you will find a nicely placed Control Panel with a Display and Icons to tap on and help you effortlessly navigate its settings and control the device. From left to right you have an ON/OFF Icon, Mist, Humidity, Timer, Warm, and Sleep Icon. On the right-hand side, you have an aroma box that you can easily take out, and add 8-10 drops of essential oil onto. With this, the LV600S will begin to diffuse the aroma when it begins operation. Do note that you cannot directly add essential oils inside the tank.
This Levoit Smart Hybrid Ultrasonic Warm/Cool Mist 1.5G Humidifier has its steam nozzle at the top of the tank. The nozzle has two openings that you can adjust 360° respectively and is capable of covering up to 753 ft2. When you take out the cap housing the nozzle, you will observe a wide opening for you to pour water into the tank and easy cleaning. Then, you will also observe a water filter which helps to prevent impurities from getting into the device. You can take out this water filter to clean it by turning it anti-clockwise.
Moving further, you can take out the tank completely by lifting it by the handle on top. You will then find components that make the Levoit LV600S function. These are the mist tube and mist channel, float, and noise silencer, amongst others. The mist tube/mist channel and noise silencer can be removed before you clean the humidifier.

The display will come ON and show you the current humidity of the room where the LV600S is placed. If you leave the device like this, it will keep increasing the humidity of the room. However, you can set your desired humidity for the room by tapping on the Humidity Icon or Button, then keep tapping (tapping increases the value by 5%) till it gets to the value you want, then stop tapping for the device to accept that value. The Levoit LV600S will then run till it gets to the value you’ve set, and it will go OFF. To negate this, just tap on the humidity button for 3 seconds.
The Mist level button is used to adjust the flow of Mist from Low, Medium, and High. Simply tap on the Mist button to navigate through these three modes. Then, you have the Timer button which allows you to set an amount of time that the humidifier should run, and in the end, it will go OFF. Next, you have the Warm button. This allows you to get warm mist out of the humidifier by tapping on this button, and you get Low, Medium, and High. The last button is the Sleep button which allows you to turn OFF the display on the Levoit Smart Hybrid Ultrasonic Warm/Cool Mist 1.5G Humidifier. This is helpful when you do not want any lights showing on the humidifier while you sleep.

On the LV600HH, you have to take out the tank, turn it upside down, before you can open it, and fill it with distilled water. But on the LV600S, you can fill the tank while it is sitting on the device. Then, both humidifiers have the same tank capacity of 6L, 1.5Gal.
The LV600S has a water filter that you can take out and clean, or change its sponge. To do this, simply insert your hand into the tank and rotate the water filter anticlockwise to loosen it. But on the LV600HH, that’s where the cover of the tank is located.
The Levoit LV600HH and Levoit LV600S both have an aroma box. But on the latter, it is on the right side of the device, while on the former, the aroma box is on the left side of the device.
Both humidifiers have one-touch buttons but they are arranged differently. On the Levoit LV600HH, you will observe a round dark spot in the middle, just below the display screen; this is the sensor for its remote control.
